Data Scientist/Product Technical Lead

ADI’s Energy unit commissions and develops products looking at all aspects of the electrical energy network, covering everything from the traditional energy grid to the energy cloud and green energy technologies. We are looking to recruit into our Edinburgh team to focus on Energy Analytics Studio, the cloud service designed for use with ADI’s unique mSure Technology.

The role will require ability to understand the full signal path from sensor to cloud, use this knowledge to create algorithms, and work with many different teams to define the wider product requirements and ensure that the product meets those requirements.


  • Work closely with marketing team and customers to define product requirements.
  • Work with internal security, licencing, and other teams to ensure product is compliant with internal and external standards
  • Develop and document algorithms and signal processing to deliver key requirements.
    • Understand complete signal path from sensor to cloud
    • Model system and create algorithms to detect behaviours and events.
  • Work with architect and development team to ensure requirements and key algorithms are understood by team.
  • Develop validation flow and validate product meets requirements.
  • Work with customers to ensure they can successfully integrate the product into their systems.
  • Work with customers and key stakeholders to develop product roadmap.
  • Work train customers in the use, and support integration into their systems.

Required Skills:

  • Data Science
  • Python for data-science, including visualisation
  • Good Project organisation Skills
  • At least 2 years industrial experience
  • Ability to work as part of a global team

Beneficial Skills:

  • Background in Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Physics/Systems engineering
  • Background in Microcontroller
  • Ability to write requirements

  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS)
