Job Description


We are looking for a Data Scientist (NLP) to help us improve our NLP products, deliver key data insights and create new NLP applications.

Data Scientist (NLP) responsibilities include transforming natural language data into useful features using NLP techniques to feed classification algorithms, extract features from unsupervised methods and point out key trends from unstructured and structured data sets. To succeed in this role, you would be required to hone your skills in statistical analysis, machine learning methods and text representation techniques and showcase results from them for business impact.

Your goal is to develop efficient self-learning NLP applications, consistently work to improve the Collection and Servicing Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Study and transform data science prototypes
  • Design NLP applications
  • Select appropriate annotated datasets for Supervised Learning methods
  • Use effective text representations to transform natural language into useful features from unsupervised methods
  • Find and implement the right algorithms and tools for NLP tasks
  • Develop NLP systems according to requirements
  • Train the developed model and run evaluation experiments
  • Perform statistical analysis of results and refine models
  • Extend ML libraries and frameworks to apply in NLP tasks
  • Remain updated in the rapidly changing field of machine learning
  • Manage the product while consistently looking for avenues to improve the data, methodology and applications.

Qualifications
  • Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures and modeling
  • Ability to effectively design software architecture
  • Deep understanding of text representation techniques (such as n-grams, bag of words, sentiment analysis etc), statistics and classification algorithms
  • Knowledge of Python and Python
  • Ability to write robust and testable code
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
  • Strong communication skills
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics or similar field
  • Ability to learn and collaborate actively

What you will do:

  • Build and implement advanced machine learning operational risk models, information extraction models on customer communications – calls, emails chats, and posts.
  • Research, develop and evaluate advanced text speech, audio, image processing algorithms and implementations.
  • Prototype and develop algorithms and advanced machine learning techniques for applications such as sentiment analysis, topic modelling, audio to text conversion, deep learning models for image recognition, classification, speech modelling
  • Stay up to date with tech, prototype with and learn new technologies, proactive in technology communities • Learn from peers in data science and engineering community • Deliver on time with a high bar on quality of research, innovation and engineering • Create Advanced OCR capability • Develop innovative solutions in areas such as machine learning, computational linguistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), advanced and semantic information search, extraction, induction,
  • classification and exploration • Develop & maintain NLP Pipeline for Document Data Extraction semantics and sentiment processing and understanding • Create products that provide a great user experience along with high performance, security, quality, and stability
