In this role, you have the opportunity to
Develop prototypes used by physicians treating patients suffering from Structural Heart Diseases. Your success links directly to the physician’s success, being able to place a treatment device with more confidence and less mental fatigue into the patient’s heart.
Contribute to our Structural Heart Disease (SHD) Venture and work on developing prototypes for innovative clinical applications to demonstrate proof-of-concept and establish a solid foundation for further product development.
In this role you are responsible for
Technical and clinical de-risking of innovative imaging solutions by automation and machine learning in the field of structural heart disease via (clinical) prototypes;
Primary contact for our Philips research partners;
Develop a thorough understanding of the developed product via frequent interaction with stakeholders;
Work in an Agile and LEAN manner while retaining compliance to development processes and product quality standards.
The Image Guided Therapy systems organization is responsible for marketing, development, manufacturing, services and solutions in the area of cardiac, neuro, vascular and oncology diagnosis and intervention. Our customers are interventional specialists (Cardiology and Radiology) operating in a wide variety of hospitals across the globe. You will join an innovative, exploratory, high-performance, dynamic and culturally diverse team in a venture program, the SHD Venture, part of the Innovation and New Business Creation department. You will be working in an environment where multiple Philips businesses closely collaborate and interact and with active involvement of inspiring physicians.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
MSc in Computer Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering;
Track record + 3 years’ experience working with Deep Learning/Machine Learning;
Excellent coding skills in C++, C# and a strong drive to further improve them;
Experience with machine learning networks like Tensorflow, PyTorch, OpenCV frameworks and artificial neural networks;
Good knowledge on 3D mathematics.
Soft skills -> customer focused, accurate, quality driven, tech savvy, cultivating innovation all with a result driven attitude.
