About us:

TES is a specialist professional services unit with key technical product ownership from presale design to Sales, onto delivery and then in life Customer Care. The key product areas for this group will be IPVPN, IPT, LAN, IT Security, Fixed to Mobile convergence, Unified Communications and related products.
Vodafone is seeking to hire a Customer facing Network Engineer to work with designated customers of any size to implement solutions across the Enterprise product portfolio in accordance to best practice design, installation guidelines and to end-to-end service delivery targets.

Role Purpose:
The primary role for you will be to produce and publish low-level technical designs / implementation guidelines and install these solutions as contracted with the customer to best practice standards. Work closely with the Projects, Configuration and Integration teams and Enterprise Services Operations to ensure all technical documentation and knowledge transfer is completed before handing over the solution for In-life support. Assist Presales teams in realising customer opportunities through the validation of solutions that utilise the products and services that exist within the ECS and Vodafone Product Portfolios.
You will work closely with other members of the team, including those that exist within the ECS and the wider Enterprise and Vodafone teams. This will cover a range of disciplines i.e. Presale Team, Core Network Engineering, Operations, Product, Programmes & Projects and Service and will ensure that the technology solution designed is fit for purpose and can be readily deployed and operated in a stable manner.

The key deliverables for the Network Engineer are to provide expert technical support to design, implement and assure the customers network and service availability. As required review / provide high quality, technology solutions that have been approved by the customer and all internal stakeholders. The Network Engineer is responsible for creating the relevant documentation and deploying the solution to established standards before handing over for In-life support.

• Engineering Professional with 4 + years’ experience preferably in a large complex environment
• Strong grasp of Wi-Fi technologies
• HP/Aruba LAN & WiFi deployment experience/certification
• Ability to build strong internal / external relationships with key stakeholders
• Customer Focused
• Strong communication/influencing skills
• Ability to demonstrate Problem Solving, Analytical thinking and Decision with virtual making
