✅ The Role | Lead our Data Science Unicorns

As a senior Data Science Team Lead working within our AI team, you'll be at the forefront of researching, designing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge data science solutions in fields like image tech, NLP, and fraud.

We're constantly exploring different methodologies and models to validate and discover the most promising solutions to address our pressing challenges. In this role, you will be involved in projects across different product lines and business areas, applying state-of-the-art NLP models, including text similarity and search algorithms.

You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other Data Scientists to continuously improve our NLP solutions while also contributing your deep learning expertise to other machine learning projects.

✅ Responsibilities and Duties

As our NLP Data Science Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and implementing NLP-based solutions in online brand protection and trademark business lines.
• Exploring various state-of-the-art models for topics such as text similarity and search.
• Collaborating closely with subject matter experts to validate results and share knowledge about the methodologies used.
• Managing and ensuring the consistency of training and test datasets, offering solutions for revisiting labeling issues.
• Implementing solutions based on continuous training principles as user feedback and expert reports become available.
• Thinking creatively about the implemented solutions, providing advice on new features or tools, and driving innovation.
• Collaborating with other Data Scientists to share knowledge and continuously improve NLP solutions.
• Contributing your experiments and general understanding of deep learning principles to other machine learning projects.

🔑 Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• An MSc or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in researching and building data science applications.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in NLP.
• Hands-on experience with Transformer-based models, such as fine-tuning and transfer learning.
• Knowledge of search and retrieval algorithms like TF-IDF, n-gram, Aho-Corasick, and Suffix trees.
• Proficient programming skills in high-level data science languages such as Python and R (R Shiny experience for prototyping is a plus).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Kaggle, etc.).
• Broader knowledge of large dataset processing pipelines and distributed computing architectures (Apache Beam/Airflow, Spark/Hadoop architectures).
• Knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL, memory database technologies, and graph processing (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with GPU-backed modeling/inference.
