ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for a Senior AI Data Engineer to help us develop the next big thing in business software. SAP is uniquely positioned to achieve this task, as hundreds of billions of events, representing more than 75% of the world’s transaction revenue, touch an SAP system. Come join SAP's Intelligent Spend Management team (ISM). We are leveraging large amounts of heterogeneous “big data,” artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and create insights for our customers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for development and management of data-related topics
  • Supports Data Science research/project teams with all aspects around data
  • Builds scalable and re-usable data processing pipelines
  • Works on data generators in order to enrich our datasets
  • Sets up and manages annotation projects with our annotation partner companies
  • Works with domain experts and AI Scientists to define annotation guidelines and drive the annotation efforts towards high-quality data
  • Coordinates & supports data auditing efforts
  • Coordinates & supports data acquisition activities
  • Integrates, validates, organizes, improves and curates datasets including metadata (e.g. data versioning, cleaning, storing, etc.)



EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or related field
  • 4+ years of industry experience in in algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and software design principles
  • Solves complex problems using at least one server-side programming language such as Java, Scala, Python, C#, C++
  • Proficiency in handling of large datasets in distributed Linux/Unix environments
  • Good understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and ML end-2-end process
  • Experience with IAAS services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data storage (MongoDB, HANA, Hadoop, Neo4j)
  • Solid knowledge of statistics and data analytics approaches
