The Client:
Our client is a well-established organisation that has specialised in providing a range of hardware and software services across the resources sector.
With a proven operating track record, they are looking to increase the capability of their data analytics.
As such, they are looking for a Data Scientist to join the organisation. As a senior member you will be experienced in creating and delivering data focused solutions that can assist in building and contributing the capabilities of the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to come in and put your stamp on the way data is viewed and utilised across the organisation. In this role you'll be an integral part of the team to improve our architecture, design, coding, deployment and support.

Specific Responsibilities include:
Hands on developing and delivering data solutions through the full lifecycle in collaboration with several software and data teams alongside a small but growing team of data scientists
Leverage your working knowledge of best practices in data focused solutions, proactive research into emerging trends, intimate understanding of market context and your own network of advisors to inform the strategy
Help identify gaps and innovative solutions to bridge any capability gaps and update your catalogue of Data Science services accordingly

Required Skills and Experiences:
Proven track record delivering Data Science solutions with material commercial benefit
You will have experience solving analytical problems through quantitative approaches and machine learning methods
You are familiar with standard tools for clustering, dimensionality reduction, regression, and classification.
You have a flexible and pragmatic approach to technology and are proficient in Python or R (or both!) and ideally have strong experience in using languages, such as Java, C#, or shell scripts.
Good experience on Cloud environments including Azure, Google, AWS
Ability to work within a product development group

Desired Skills and Experience (any of the following):
Degree in a relevant discipline in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field
Any experience on ML Pipelines & MLOps (DevOps for Machine Learning), Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks & Power BI.
Experience with fleet management or vehicle monitoring systems
Experience in mining, civil engineering or surveying industry.
Pytorch and/or Tensorflow experience
Deep Learning and Signal Processing
