Geotab is seeking a Senior Data Analyst who will develop various internal web applications, creating helper tables in the Google BigQuery, setting up Superset dashboards to support necessary monitoring tasks, conducting ad-hoc data mining analyses to identify root causes, determining the scope of issues, and addressing other data-related queries or requests.. What You'll Do
The Senior Data Analyst will develop various internal web applications utilizing Django, HTML, and CSS (including Tailwind CSS). They will also be expected to use Docker containers and manage an internal Docker server to house these applications, ensuring they are hosted internally via the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) network and load balancer. Additionally, this role requires the candidate to conduct ad-hoc data mining analyses to identify root causes, determine the scope of issues, and address other data-related queries or requests.

How you'll make an impact
- Design and develop internal web applications utilizing Django/Python, HTML, and CSS (including Tailwind CSS) and manage them using Docker and host them internally
- Develop SQL queries and setup jobs using Google Cloud Platform against Geotab’s big data environment
- Responsible for creating helper tables in the Google BigQuery data warehouse using our internal orchestration platform
- Design and implement easy-to-use dashboards, reports, metrics, and monitors based on Geotab GO device and vehicle data to ensure optimal performance and effective understanding of the Geotab fleet of vehicles.
- Conduct data mining analyses to identify root causes, determine the scope of issues, and address other data-related queries or requests.
- Mentor new hires and interns by providing guidelines and support
- Participate in meetings with Data and Analytics department to align with best practices to improve overall data environment
- Provide assistance to the Embedded Team and support staff from a big data perspective.
- 5-8 years experience designing and developing internal web applications utilizing Django, HTML, and CSS (including Tailwind CSS) and manage them using Docker and host them internally
- 1-3 years of experience in Data analysis, Data mining, or Data Science using SQL or BigQuery
- Airflow or Kubernetes experience is a bonus
