Data Analyst/ Data Translator

We are looking for an experienced data analyst/ data translator who has a solid quantitative background and a passion for working with advanced techniques to unlock the valuable information contained within our data. We are looking for someone who will help embed data-driven ways of working in our projects, help business colleagues with hypothesis and test creation as well as data insights. Since we are ambitious, we need your expertise to help us reaching our goals. Together with enthusiastic and talented colleagues of the Advanced Analytics & Data team you are going to identify business opportunities.

Your job

As Data Analyst in the BI and Analytics team of the Center of Expertise Advanced Analytics and Data, you work closely with Customer-Centric Design team to help scope data-driven projects. The role has both hands-on component and consultancy. We expect you to be knowledgeable in data & analytics techniques and quickly get to know our data related to customers, behavior, channels, products. You will use this knowledge to create ad-hoc analysis. At the same time, we are looking someone who can help set business goals of a project in a way that makes then measurable. The expectation is that you will consult and advice colleagues from Customer Centric Design on how can they improve their projects by adding quantitative data insights, applying advanced analytics techniques and designing experiments.

In short, within Customer & Digital Experience the online platforms are being created and built that offer all the digital products of ABN AMRO Retail. All of these developments and products are powered by the data & analytics of the Center of Expertise Advanced Analytics & Data (CoE AA&D).

Your profile

You are up to date with the latest developments in tooling, advanced analytics, profiling, tagging and web analytics, therefore a real digital data analyst. The job requires excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail. Considering the multi-disciplinary teams, being a true team-player is essential. You are creative, can inspire others to be likewise and have a sense of humor. Do you think you fit the bill?

Must-have qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 year experience in a commercial and analytical online marketing profession;
  • Able to effectively communicate (in written and spoken English) about your analysis and results;
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science, Data or Business Analytics;
  • Consultancy and advisory skills
  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques especially in the context of customer behavior data
  • Knowledge of and experience in SQL
  • Strong analytic skills and affinity with data analytics, (pre)processing, and data handling;
  • Proven experience with PowerBI or other visualization tools
  • Able to present data in an attractive way.

Nice-to-have qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technology (especially Data Bricks, data lakes)
  • Knowledge of and experience with tag management, targeting, segmentation and profiling;
  • Knowledge of developments in the field of analytics, online marketing, digital technologies and APIs;
  • Experience with data analysis with Python is a plus
