DATA ENGINEER
CARDIFF, WALES - 3 DAYS IN OFFICE
UP TO £60,000 + PRIVATE MEDICAL CARE + DENTAL CARE
Harnham is partnered with a scaling private equity firm that focuses on acquiring transport-based businesses. They have recently hired a Head of Data and now need a team of Engineers to build their Customer Data Platform.
The Company
This company has been successful in helping the Portco's with their presence on the market, ensuring they are fully regulated and governing their data to ensure everything is protected. They are now looking to consolidate this data to drive insights and further improve customer experience. They have devised a solid data strategy and have the capability to build real-time reports now they have launched their customer mobile application.

The Role
- Greenfield implementation of a cloud platform (using Big Query)
- Building out the infrastructure as well at data lake
- Taking control of the platform, working from designs through to productionisation
- Starting as a standalone Data Engineer, building data pipelines from scratch
- Strong Python programming skills
- Full understanding of the cloud infrastructure
- Good knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Taking data from APIs and ingesting it via Airflow into a data lake
- 90min - 30min live coding + 30min technical discussion + 30min culture/values discussion
