Senior Analyst, Marketing Planning
The Marketing Planning team is part of the Central Operations function, serving as a strategic business partner to the Marketing and Sales organizations. Our team is responsible for setting revenue and demand volume targets for Marketing, driving business performance insights, and identifying risks and opportunities for business growth.
As a Senior Analyst, you will be building planning models and translating data insights into performance and revenue forecasts. You’ll become an expert in understanding how HubSpot’s Marketing and Demand engine works and drives Sales results. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams in Central Operations, Marketing, and Sales. This is a high impact and high visibility role that involves regular communications with senior stakeholders across the business.
In This Role, You’ll Get To:
- Utilize your business analysis and planning skillset to build planning models and develop insights and recommendations on business strategy to executive leadership
- Work closely with the sales planning and cross-functional operations teams to provide inputs into their planning models and analysis frameworks
- Work closely with the Marketing team to understand the current and future drivers of business performance, and support them with business insights
- Conduct quantitative analysis using our internal data and visualization tools (Looker, Snowflake, etc.)
- Collaborate with senior leadership in setting revenue targets for the Marketing organization
- Be a driving influencer and teacher on the use and application of Marketing volume and revenue metrics for the business
- Conduct analysis of prospect & customer behaviors to uncover risks or opportunities to business growth
- Communicate findings and data insights to your stakeholders with a point of view and desire to enable the Marketing and Sales teams to make data-driven decisions.
We Are Looking For People Who Have:
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Practical experience in a business environment influencing decision making with data
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets knowledge
- Experience using a Business Intelligence tool (we use Looker)
- Experience using SQL to transform and analyze data (we use Snowflake SQL)
- The ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally to drive actionable and measurable results
- Educational or professional experience with a heavy quantitative, analytical focus
- A passion for the role of data in helping solve complex questions
- A passion for teaching others how to make data driven decisions
- A desire to constantly learn and improve themselves
Above And Beyond Qualifications:
- Experience running an annual planning and forecasting process, from stakeholder management to leading the model development
- Are able to identify the right data, analysis, or approach to translate complex business problems into insights and actionable recommendations
- Experience owning all stages of program and change management, from ideation and hypothesis testing through gaining executive buy-in and field execution
- Experience presenting analyses to key stakeholders at different organizational levels from IC to executive leadership
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of a SaaS business and/or experience working at one
- Experience with data science and statistical tools such as R, Python, or others
- Experience using advanced SQL techniques (windows functions, JSON flattening, common table expressions, UDFs, etc.) for data investigation, transformation, and analysis.
Cash compensation range: 118500-189600 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
