Junior Data Scientist

We are changing how industry leaders and consumers think about TV, and we're looking for a Data Scientist who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and would like to make a meaningful impact on our innovative products. Data Scientists at Samba TV work closely with Product, Engineering, and other teams on a variety of projects.

What You Will Do

• Produce data for assigned clients and prepare information for client presentations.
• Provide support to client-facing teams by responding to ad-hoc data requests, answering questions, and providing basic technical support and analysis.
• Turn data into insight and communicate findings effectively.
• Mine massive amounts of data to extract actionable insights and analyze and interpret that data to identify user behaviour trends, gaps, and inconsistencies.

What You Bring To The Table

• Experience with a querying language (like SQL) and basic software development
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with at least one scripting language (ideally Python)
• Understanding of some statistical analysis as well as data structures and transformations
• Experience with data visualization, business intelligence, and data cleaning & processing
• Working knowledge of Unix command line
• Good communication abilities
