Position: Data Engineer / Data Modeling Co-op/Intern

Number of Position(s): 4

Duration: 4-16 Months

Location: Virtual-Flexible

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, etc., or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

As part of our team, you will:

  • Work with Data to solve business problems
  • Develop models that can be used to collect and store large data sets
  • Build and deploy data pipelines that clean, transform and aggregate data from disparate sources
  • Monitor, support and resolve data pipeline issues
  • Build alerts that allow the team to resolve data pipeline or data quality issues in a timely matter

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • Development Experience with stored procedures and views
  • Have a good understanding of infrastructure requirements for data pipelines
  • Initiative to continually learn, adapt, and grow.
  • An inherent interest in being involved and helping others.
  • Interested in determining the source of a problem and finding an effective solution.
  • Ability to actively listen and communicate ideas with confidence.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Training or Experience with large data transfers
  • Training or Experience troubleshooting performance
  • Experience with MS SQL Server SQL Agent Jobs
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL workflow software
