About the role
As our new colleague, you will develop innovative data-driven solutions to price insurance. Your main task will be to implement and develop pricing processes on our modern analytical platform using Databricks and Python. You will support your colleagues in using the full analytical capabilities offered by the platform and help to define our roadmap for how to do pricing analytics. Along the way, you will improve our risk understanding and create insights on how our pricing models impact our customers and our portfolio. Your conclusions will drive price actions and have a direct impact on our business.
Developing end-to-end data-driven solutions for pricing use cases from understanding the business problem, transforming the data, developing models and pipelines, deploying solutions to production, and following up quality and performance
Coordination, development, stakeholder management and user support for pricing analysis capabilities in Python/Databricks across our Nordic business units
Provide insightful and impactful analysis use cases to support business stakeholders
Maintain and develop our customer pricing processes
About the team
Our department is responsible for products and pricing for If’s private customer insurances in Sweden, handling a portfolio of more than 1.8 million customers and their Motor, Property and Personal insurances. You will belong to a specialist team of 6 analysts working with pricing for the entire private business, focused on the customer perspective. We have a clear development agenda and are our departments’ analytical competence center. We work closely with the entire department and our Nordic colleagues.

Master’s degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, engineering
Demonstrated experience in statistical modelling and machine learning techniques
Programming skills in SQL and Python, capable of writing code to production standards
Strong communication, pedagogical, and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in Swedish or English
Considered as merits
Experience with pricing of insurance products
Experiences with Tableau, Databricks, Azure, Git, MLOps
Familiarity with software developer practices
