Our product analytics team is very hands-on and strategic, with lots of scope to make an impact. Your analysis and recommendations will directly support product decisions, commercial decisions, and business strategy.

This role involves working with multiple stakeholders across our Digital product teams, so the ideal candidate will have exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of working in a technical data environment is essential. We are specifically looking for curious, big-picture thinkers who can also deep dive into the details, as well as proactive, eager, self-motivated qualities. You will be comfortable working across multiple data sets and be keen to explore how we can best support our Product colleagues to understand our products and their users’ behaviours.

You may be working across any of our Product end user pillars (Sales, Cross Sell/Up Sell, Care) with a specific focus on enabling big data to help solve one of our business problems. These areas are key touchpoints for the business and generate lots of rich data. With an online focused view, we want to get a complete picture of interactions by connecting data points.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Analytics enablement: You will create and merge data sets ready to be queried for analysis and used for visualisation. As the expert in data structure from a web perspective you will be work with other Analysts to facilitate an efficient Insight function
  • Discovery: You will proactively use BigQuery and deep understanding of an area to detect product opportunities, problems and experiment ideas
  • Recommendations: Not only will you be required to explore the data; we expect you to provide insights and recommendations to the Product organisation
  • Reporting and visualization: Your presentation of data will help product teams make the right data-driven decisions, allowing them to self-serve and interpret data quickly, easily and accurately
  • Supporting Digital Product teams: You will work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand problem areas and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Prioritisation: You could be working with multiple Digital Product squads simultaneously and will be expected to be able to prioritise workload based on business requirements
  • Data standardization: Collaborating with a number of different teams, you will work towards achieving our data governance standards



Required Critical Behaviours
  • Extensive experience of working with Web data, preferably Google Analytics (Universal and GA4)
  • Advanced SQL skills essential
  • Experience in working with ETL scripts or database transformation tools
  • Data visualization experience, ideally using Looker/DataStudio or similar
  • Logical analytical problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Proactive self-starter who is curious about how to get the most from our data
  • Ability to confidently engage their peers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills

Ideally, we’d also like:
  • Any exposure to DBT Cloud
  • Google BigQuery experience
  • Reasonable statistical literacy
  • Some experience in using R or Python for data analysis
  • Experience using GitHub and Jira in a collaborative environment
