About the Unit

Business Intelligence America is the area in charge of aligning the efforts regarding Data in the three sub-regions (Brazil, North America, and Latin America), our main responsibilities are Lead and follow-up maturity action plans related to the Data Strategy Americas; Governance in Data and Analytics Policies, Standards, Procedures, and Architecture; Manage Americas analytics demands (portfolio management, project prioritization, service process, and team management) and Support (onboarding guided analysis, self-service support), knowledge management and training (training, collaboration, communication of improvements, information sharing), and project and application governance of “Gold” projects (Standardization of projects and applications, Code Review / Apps certification, Best Practices Design / UX in accordance with the priorities defined by the D&A committee, in addition to aligning external suppliers with the standards).

Our mission is to work aligned with corporate and local teams in infrastructure, tools, and services which enable people to convert data into information and information into insights.


  • Work with connection process for extraction (API – REST and using Python/Alteryx);
  • Build and manage the data transformation process and data pipeline (design and create database tables)
  • Creating and managing PowerBI reports;
  • Guide and help the Business with Data Insight (by attending regular meetings from Business to design Data Insight) and Data Science (Logic and Algorithms);
  • Develop dashboards and reports applying techniques and programming languages, such as R and Python;
  • Process confidential data and information following the guidelines and support data integrity and normalization initiatives;
  • Test application and implementation of BI;
  • Providing technical knowledge in data warehousing structures, data mining, and data cleaning;
  • Using predictive modeling to enhance and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes;
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy;
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.);
  • Development of custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.


  • Bachelor degree in within Mathematics and Statistics / Engineering / Computer Science or relevant experience;
  • Experience as (SAP) BI Developer, maintaining/developing data warehouses and in SAP (Native) HANA (Calculation views, SQL, Performance optimization, etc);
  • Knowledge in Big data, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Viz and Data Modeling (SQL);
  • Development in BI (Alteryx and PowerBI);
  • Knowledge of Language and BI techniques (R, Python);
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, distribution properties, statistical testing, proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications;
  • Portuguese and English (fluent written and spoken). Other languages are a plus.
