This position is located in Data Science, a department within the Data & Analytics function. We provide decision support for scientists in all areas of Research and Early Development. As part of our team you will apply diverse capabilities like statistics, machine learning, bioinformatics, and information science to retrieve and analyze data.

Role Mission
We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a Data Scientist to work with multidisciplinary teams of scientists across departments in the organization dedicated to researching methods for the analysis of data and using these methods to actively drive science and jointly shape our future portfolio.
Your Impact
- Building a deep understanding of disease biology by unlocking the potential of data and applying the learnings to accelerate drug discovery and development to bring breakthrough medicines to patients

Your Profile

You have a PhD degree in a scientific field relevant to the pharmaceutical industry such as biology, chemistry, medicine or related. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus. You have hands-on experience analyzing biological data such as proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, screening, imaging or Real World Evidence. Preferably you have domain knowledge in one or more of pRED’s disease areas. You are familiar with a programming language like Python or R; experience with applied statistical approaches and/or deep learning/machine learning/NLP/AI, in general, is a plus. You have experience in generating insights from research or analysis to communicate concise and compelling stories that influence decisions and strategy.
