About the team
The Reporting Analytics and Insights Team is responsible for establishing transparent, reliable and timely data and analytics solutions to support Enterprise decision making within Sydney Trains. Our focus is on core analytics priorities and support enterprise analytics activities by providing SMEs and technical knowledge.

As Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Sydney Trains performance data and reporting activities at the enterprise-level, and provide deep-dive data analysis and performance insight in a timely and accurate manner.
The Data Analyst specialist will champion the use of the most up-to-date analytical & reporting tools, data visualisation, enterprise data warehouse, expertise with ETL, Web techniques and provide a “single resource of truth” on the interpretation of results to a range of stakeholders within the organisation.

You will have experience in interpreting statistical information, development of data profiling, analytical models and dashboards. You will actively maintain awareness of business operations and trends to support reporting and be familiar with a variety of analysis software.
We are looking for an expert Data Analytics Specialist who has demonstrated experience in complex data analysis with an ability to translate the analysis into insights, reporting and dashboards using various data visualisation tools in a large complex organisation. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information, data blending and visualisation are essential.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is RC5 ($106,653-$123,022) plus superannuation and leave loading.
