This is a great opportunity for either an experienced or recent engineering graduate who enjoys analysing data and solving problems.
This is an extremely visible role from dealership to CEO level, where you’ll be working with a wide range of business areas within Aston Martin. Dependent on which resolution you’re working on you could be liaising with our China, Japan, EU, US offices or the operational teams such as R&D (research and development), Quality, Manufacturing or Production.
You’ll be responsible for processing the daily (Product Defect Report) PDR reports that comes in from our circa 160 global dealerships overnight, where you’ll analyse, manipulate, and translate your findings of any issues found, you’ll be working closely within a cross functional support group. Where you’ll categorise the issue type and severity and create statistically based reports from that information.
Working closely with the lead engineer you’ll select which key topics/issues need further investigating and resolving. Once selected you’ll create the problem definition sheet on the identified issue collating key technical information and passing over to the correct technical owner for resolution. You’ll work cross functionally ensuring the issues identified are rectified and resolved within a timely manner escalating any issues not progressing or resolved.
We are looking for a confident, driven, analytical, and diplomatic person. You’ll have exceptional communicating skills and have the confidence to challenge and persuade where required. You’ll have excellent time management and organisational skills as you’ll be working to multiple ever-changing priorities/deadlines. You’ll have excellent project management skills to manage ongoing different stage escalations/issues across the various business areas and you’ll be highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
An engineering degree is a must for this role, if you have some experience gained within a technical industry with quality issues, problem solving and statistical data processing would be advantageous.
The working pattern for this role is Monday - Thurs 7am – 4pm and Friday 7am – 12pm with an expectation to be site based 100% of the time due to the nature of the role. There may be a rare requirement to travel to our St Athan factory or dealer network on an ad hoc basis.
