The Senior Data Scientist will focus on translating business needs into analytics, interpretation of analytics into business applications, advanced technologies and artificial intelligence solutions. This role will provide you with the opportunity to innovate, explore and build solutions using emerging technologies. You will develop and apply statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning to various business problems in loss prevention.

  • Efficiently construct, develop, and implement the models in a variety of modeling tools, achieving highly accurate models.
  • Consulting with key internal and external stakeholders to understand and frame business requests, then determine how best to leverage machine learning and advanced analytic methods (machine learning methods such as ensemble models, decision trees and neural networks; operations research; statistical modeling such as multivariate techniques) to support business objectives.
  • Developing sound analytic plans based on available data sources, business partner needs, and required timelines.
  • Implement data formulation process, including identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation, and temporal data structures.
  • Managing deliverables across multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and project related to a wide variety of business settings and clinical needs.
  • Presenting analytical findings in a variety of formats (reports, PPT, graphs, figures and tables), formulating recommendations, and effectively presenting the results

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 7 years of work experience in data modelling, statistical analysis, and relevant computing requirements
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, deep learning and statistical methodology; demonstrated experience using these techniques to solve business problems
  • Experience in computer science or related discipline, coding in Python,
  • Strong experience building predictive models, preferably for financial application
  • Strong experience working with large quantities of data, excellent SQL skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey actionable and understandable business intelligence

Preferred Experience:

  • Passion for collaboration and working with and inspiring cross-functional teams
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL, etc

Education:

  • Required: Master degree. in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Biophysics or directly related field.

Hours and Work Schedule: 1-2 days in the office

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
