The Role
As our in-house data science expert, you will lead our data science projects and collaborate with colleagues across the business to assist in the management of a £500m credit portfolio.

In this role you will:
- Develop predictive models and work on analytical assignments for both UK and US teams, influencing our strategy across the entire customer lifecycle from marketing through to collections.
- Take a direct lead on analytical projects and guide junior team members
- Help coach and develop colleagues in various departments on data science tools and techniques
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure analysis and models can be implemented seamlessly without deterioration to customer experience or complex IT builds
What do we require?
- Extensive experience building statistical models in Python and extracting/manipulating data in SQL
- Experience working on analytical projects
- Able to work autonomously and to display strong judgement and proactivity.
- Commercial acumen and a robust understanding of the economics underpinning credit portfolios
- Experience in consulting, startups or other fast paced environments is beneficial
- Experience with some of our data stack would be beneficial but this is not a requirement. We use Snowflake (SQL based) and DBT, FiveTran. Python / JupyterLab. Looker. Kubernetes cluster, hosted in Azure.
