Head of Data Engineering

Realtime Recruitment has partnered with a global client that is looking for a Head of Data to join their Dublin office.

This is a company that is dramatically increasing its IT Division due to continued success, resulting in a number of exciting projects being added to its pipeline.

The Role:

• Responsible for leading a data engineering team
• Working in a consulting environment collaborating with key business stakeholders
• Working with various technology implementation teams as part of an overall project
• Overseeing the work & training of junior members
• Working on the commercial side of the business, speaking with key/ prospect clients

Experience Required:

• Experience leading a team of Data Analysts/ Data Engineers/ BI Analysts
• Experience in large scale data engineering projects
• Track record of growing out a team of Analytics experts
• Experienced in bringing together disparate data sources
• Examples of using disparate integration techniques such ETL, API, and Data Streaming
• Knowledge of Cloud Data Tools and Platform (Azure or AWS)
• Knowledge of modern analytics and visualisation techniques (Tableau or Power BI)
• Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and how to apply them
