Job Purpose and Summary: The Human Resources Data Analyst serves as the technical point-of-contact supporting Human Capital Management (PeopleSoft) system audits, troubleshooting, system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. Serves as the liaison between Human Resources and the IT team for PeopleSoft and other HR applications. Maintains data flow between CHLA and third-party benefit administrators per contractual arrangement. Creates complex queries to pull data in support of standard reports and processes, which include, but are not limited to: Leadership dashboards, HR dashboards, Compensation processes, employee surveys, etc. Also provides ad hoc reports for Cabinet, Clinical Services, Legal, and HR.

Minimum Education/Training Required: Degree in Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Will consider suitable combination of education and equivalent experience and training.

Minimum Experience Required: Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in Business analytics with the proven ability to analyzing data to inform business decisions and finding technological solutions to business needs. Human Resources and Project Management preferred. Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of Human Resource systems structure, functions and processes; understanding of interdependencies between various systems and downstream impact. Experience in PeopleSoft query development or equivalent query tool. Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel; familiar with advanced functionality such as complex formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc. Requires attention to detail and accuracy; statistical, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, and coordinate multiple large projects through planning, prioritizing, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Desire to work as a team with a results driven mindset with adaptability to changing priorities. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
