Brain Imaging Research has an exciting opportunity for a Research Data Analyst.* The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC) is an internationally renowned research center, which is dedicated to providing treatment to patients with schizophrenia and related disorders, educating professionals and consumers about schizophrenia, and conducting basic and translational research into the manifestations, causes, and treatment of schizophrenia. In the era of big data, the large data consortiums include millions of subjects with complex imaging and genetics data and thus can readily assist our research. The selected candidate will perform duties that support the mission and vision of the department. Essential Functions*
Responsible for collecting and analyzing data for statistical studies. This position will apply statistical and mathematical models to quantify and interpret research findings.
Apply and modify statistical models for multivariate, categorical, and missing data analysis.
Apply machine learning and models for predictive analysis.
Compile and analyze data from large consortia for brain imaging and genetics data.
Program parallel computation for imaging-genetics data analysis.
Perform GWAS analysis on cluster and cloud using bash scripts.
Conduct statistical analysis by using models and software like R/python for clinical trials and observational studies.
Pre-process genetics data and medical imaging data using Plink and AFNI.
Perform cloud-based data management.
Prepare data analysis reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:*Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Social Science, Public Policy, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Sciences, or field of study related to the research.
Experience:*Prior experience with SAS, STATA, SPSS, and/or Excel is preferred.
Other:*May consider a combination of directly related experience and education.
