The Growth team is responsible for enabling complex analytics across several critical growth-related products focused on helping people get on the internet and connect with friends and family. This team deals with data at unprecedented scale building intelligent data products to uncover myriad patterns, identify opportunities and automating repeatable analysis. The Login-Authentication product mission is to provide people the best tools to prove ownership of their account every time they try to log in. The product supports all Facebook authentication features such as password, account recovery, smart auth, one-click login, bypass login and password saving. Our more experienced data engineers are clearly characterized by in-depth technical experience and proven progression in leadership responsibility. If you have an interest in being responsible for the dynamics of a fast-paced environment, this is the right role for you. You will be working on many projects at a time, but also focused on the details while finding creative ways to pursue big picture challenges. This is a very challenging role. Facebook is the target of all kinds of scraping, hacking, DDoS, etc.. In addition, our over 2.5 billion user base accesses Facebook from the world’s most diverse set of hardware and operating systems. There are multiple models supporting authentication and they are not always in alignment. You’ll have the opportunity to reconcile disparate, large, complicated and fast changing data sets, while surfacing short term and long-term trends and insights. Your impact will be felt across all our downstream products as your work is going to be at an entry point into the overall FB ecosystem.
