We are looking for someone like this to:
- design and develop cutting-edge AI/ML/NLP projects and models with high performance, quality and stability to help UBS deliver on its client promise
- clean, manipulate and process raw data into useful information to be suitable for business purposes
- advise and facilitate appropriate model deployment path and support model validation and monitoring
- validate and qualify potential AI/ML/NLP opportunities, define business cases and implementation roadmaps and create proposals for data science engagements
- partner and build collaborative working relationships with stakeholders across business divisions and group functions
- actively drive the development and expansion of Group Internal Consulting – Emerging Solutions and its service offerings to align with the business needs of today and the future
Your team
You will be working in the Emerging Solutions team, which is part of UBS's internal consulting unit. Group Internal Consulting (GIC) is a team with over 750 people present in 5 regions across the globe. We work in close partnership with all divisions and functions to drive transformation and change across UBS, supporting colleagues in achieving strategic goals. Our focus is on delivering high quality services, with fast onboarding, leveraging institutional knowledge. Your expertise
- ideally 2 years’ programming experience in Python and SQL
- ideally 2 years’ experience delivering data science projects in a leading tech / business consultancy or an in-house consulting team within a large organization
- working experience with state-of-the-art ML algorithms (e.g., XGBoost, Neural Networks) and learning techniques
- hands-on experience in executing ML & NLP data science projects including ability in data sourcing, feature engineering, model training, model evaluation, and data visualization
- technical experience in building ML solutions using common libraries and frameworks (e.g., Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras, spaCy, Pyspark)
- experience in R, designing and developing enterprise-scale NLP solutions in two or more areas of: Named Entity Recognition, Text Classification, Document Summarization, Topic Modelling, Sentiment Analysis, OCR/ICR, Voice Recognition, and Chatbots preferred
- excellent written and verbal English skills, other languages is a plus
- bachelor's degree in STEM Field or Business/Economics
- master's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or Quantitative Methods/Management or work toward a degree preferred.
