About our Team

The mission of our Applied AI team is to ensure J.P. Morgan's Global Technology Infrastructure can readily capitalize on the latest AI capabilities, without limitations to scale and complexity. In doing so, the team builds software systems, AI models, technological process and intelligent frameworks that minimize technological risk, while increasing operational efficiency and efficacy across the lines of business.

To achieve this, our team has assembled a diverse range of first-class talent, spanning three specialist pillars of Data Scientists, Engineers and Product leads. Across these pillars, our people work collaboratively, engaging with a broad range of stakeholders and partners to accelerate the adoption and delivery of AI-optimized infrastructure across the firm.

Who are we looking for?

As we continue to grow, we are looking to hire Data Scientists and Machine Learning practitioners, who have a broad range of experience and a passion for delivering impactful AI solutions at enterprise scale.

We want people who can talk in depth about Neural Networks, Tensorflow, PySpark, and Big Data; and who want to utilise cutting edge frameworks and technologies which allow us to work with terabytes of data every day. Mid-level Positions:
  • Solid knowledge and industry proven experience with Python
  • Deep understanding of a range of traditional machine learning algorithms
  • Experience training and experimenting with neural networks
  • Experience working with PySpark
  • Experience working in agile distributed teams

Senior positions:
  • Deep knowledge and industry proven experience in Python
  • Deep understanding range of a range of traditional machine learning algorithms
  • Significant experience working with deep neural networks
  • Experience working with and developing on top of PySpark
  • Experience of leading projects and/or agile engineering teams.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Data Scientist, you can expect the following responsibilities to form your core book of work:
  • Exploring new datasets in the context of a business problem
  • Building features and testing hypotheses
  • Training models and running experiments
  • Researching new techniques and approaches
  • Collaborating with engineers, product managers and external technical and business teams.
