Main duties of the job
Betsi Cadwaladr LHB has a vacancy for a Senior Data Engineer in the Information Development Team of the Data, Intelligence and Insight Department.
The team has responsibility for the design and maintenance of the organisation’s data warehouse; its products and processes, delivery platform and all applications relating to the acquisition, maintenance and presentation of data. These information products support the organisation to strategically and operationally manage health services across North Wales.

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience of ETL processes
- In-depth knowledge of database design and the Microsoft SQL Server platform
- A working knowledge of at least one OOP language
- Understanding of how to consume APIs (SOAP/REST)
- Experience of designing/writing/supporting web applications (MVC/C#/HTML/JS/JQuery)
- Experience of designing/writing/supporting SSRS and PowerBI reports
- Experience of designing/writing/supporting PowerApps
- Understanding of the importance of thorough testing
