What you will be doing:
Analyze Purchase orders, supplier invoices, to resolve discrepancies
Reconcile and research on Past Due Invoices
Contact suppliers to resolve price, delivery, and invoice issues
Coordinate with AP for discrepant invoices, payment related topics and reconciliation
Provide clear and concise data analysis (report or presentation) to support supply-chain decisions
Ensure continuous supply of required and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
Lead purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, sourcing, and engineering departments to solve complicated material supply issues.
Escalate the approval process for urgent order placement
Proactively manage suppliers where delivery dates are at risk by escalating within the supplier organization to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve deliveries.
Interpret internal / external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
Communicate with various departments to resolve Receiving issues
Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
What you will need to be successful in this role:
5 years of experience in procurement- accounts payable and accounting
Bachelor’s degree in - Business / Accounting / Supply Chain
Proficient in SAP
Proficient in Excel (Pivot tables, vlook up and macros)
Well versed in other MS Office products (Word, PP & Outlook).
We would be impressed if you had:
Master’s in supply chain / accounting
Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes and full AP cycle
Ability to plan and manage changing priorities coming from different business owners and meet project deadline
Analytical, numerically astute with proven problem-solving abilities
Strong written & oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
