Our Data Scientist designs develop and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions: odes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for statistical modeling/analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patterns. In this role you will resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and you will issue diverse scope.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and code software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
• Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources
• Interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Create data visualizations
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
• Troubleshoot and test database technical issues with the development team
• Independently analyze data sets to identify opportunities for increased accuracy and efficiency
• Perform quality assurance on data to determine potential data gaps
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
• Collaborate with senior internal and external staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience developing and coding software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field required
• Ability to independently analyze large amounts of data; including the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends, gaps, and patterns in complex data sets
• Proficient in SAS, Python, R, TensorFlow, Hadoop, and/or Spark
• Proficient in SQL; including creating and modifying macros, as well as creating dashboards using SQL coding
• Excellent written communication skills
• Detail oriented
