Our Data Scientist designs develop and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions: odes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for statistical modeling/analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualizations of trends and patterns. In this role you will resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and you will issue diverse scope.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and code software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources
Interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
Create data visualizations
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Troubleshoot and test database technical issues with the development team
Independently analyze data sets to identify opportunities for increased accuracy and efficiency
Perform quality assurance on data to determine potential data gaps
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business
Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Collaborate with senior internal and external staff
5+ years of related experience developing and coding software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field required
Ability to independently analyze large amounts of data; including the ability to identify, analyze, and interpret trends, gaps, and patterns in complex data sets
Proficient in SAS, Python, R, TensorFlow, Hadoop, and/or Spark
Proficient in SQL; including creating and modifying macros, as well as creating dashboards using SQL coding
Borg Monitoring Dashboard (for IP related requests)
G3 Docs (Google3 Code search/repository - Front end and back end)
