Your Responsibilities

This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

As a Data Scientist for Crop Harvesting located in Moline, IL, you will utilize engineering and customer data and analytic techniques to identify actionable insights to improve our product design and processes. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with team and internal partners to design, build, and continuously improve meaningful analytics.
  • Communicate data and insights to the organization using appropriate visualization techniques.
  • Mentor less experienced team members with data methods and contribute to shared libraries and tools.
  • Proactively apply analytical techniques to identify business insights and areas of opportunity for product development.

What Skills You Need

  • 4+ years working in advanced data gathering and analysis including statistical methods
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language; R, Python, or SQL
  • 2+ years working in Product Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project experience with recommendations resulting in business impact

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with analytics/big data platforms and/or technologies such as AWS, Databricks, Spark, Scala Knowledge
  • Knowledge in data visualization tools or application development (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, R Shiny)
  • Geospatial data analysis and visualization
  • Experience developing and exercising predictive models to solve business problems
  • Experience communicating complex, technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Understanding of CAN bus data structure and analysis


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, mathematics, computer science, statistics, analytics)
