Duties: Participate in the administration of various webMethods products such as Integration Server, Terracotta Server, Broker Server, my webMethods Server, Trading Networks and Optimize. Define complex technical architecture for applications, and author functional and technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and implement developed software applications of a complex nature, extensions to packages and web-based functions and services, and provide on-going support for these applications. Develop and support complex interfaces between business systems internal to webMethods (EDI/EAI/BPMS) and external partners. Support business software applications, define, and analyze business requirements for software applications. Analyze and evaluate webMethods (EDI/EAI/BPMS) business problems and devise computer programs and related procedures to process data and resolve problems by providing All-tier support. Prepare charts and diagrams, and develop coding logic flowcharts. Gather information from business systems analysts and users, define work problems, and develop complete specifications to enable programmers to prepare required programs. Provide a roadmap for upgrading and patching webMethods and configuring the webMethods system parameter, tuning for optimum performance, and capacity planning to ensure efficient use of system resources. Evaluate current architecture of the webMethods environment and make recommendations and changes that will ensure availability, reliability, recoverability, and stable growth. Recommend best-practice solutions for webMethods technologies, conduct code reviews, and ensure that code is developed, deployed, and maintained per SOX guidelines. Undertake due diligence with Infrastructure and middleware code dependencies. Identify application code changes, manage code deployments/configuration related changes, create deployment projects, and property file changes. Lead efforts in working with business representatives (Internal and External) and IT management to define requirements for applications supporting webMethods (EDI/EAI/BPMS). Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of expertise. Troubleshoot complex functional and technical incidents occurring on webMethods systems. Provide support for packaged applications for our major processes such as EDI processing, transport services management, and network management.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related technical field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. Must have experience with the following Software AG webMethods products: 1) Integration Server/Trading Networks; 2) Broker Server/Universal Messaging; 3) Business Process Management Suite (BPMS); 4) Optimize Analytics; 5) Terracotta in Memory Caching; 6) Adapters; 7) MWS; 8) TN Console; 9) Deployer; 10) Scheduled maintenance activities; 11) webMethods server configuration for Messaging Queues and BPM; 12) webMethods flow/Java services and configuration; and 13) Database interactions, performance, optimization, maintenance and tuning.
