What You'll Do

The Data Science & Innovation (DS&I) team located within Global Manufacturing Operations of Cisco Supply Chain is looking for a hands-on data engineer to support the Global Manufacturing (GMO) organization.

You will work closely with the data science and business intelligence teams to develop data models, data pipelines, and data engineering solutions for analytics & reporting, and for cloud-based AI products, in an agile environment.

  • Develops and maintains scalable data pipelines for advanced analytics applications (ML/AI) and for our AI software products on GCP (Google cloud platform)
  • Collaborates with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility.

  • Develop dashboards and solutions on Looker (GCP) and Tableau

Who You'll Work with:

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with a team of data scientists in DS&I as well as business partners across GML/CMF and other supply chain organizations.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of Python.
  • 4+ years of SQL experience.
  • 2+ years of No-SQL experience (particularly, MongoDB).
  • Experience with GCP and Snowflake.
  • Experience with Tableau and other Reporting tools.
  • Experience building or maintaining ETL processes is required.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Process oriented with great documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain data and processes is helpful but not required.
