Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who loves solving difficult problems. Someone who brings a positive energy to the team, thrives on strong collaboration, and who strives for constant improvement in both themself and the team in meaningful ways. Someone who will be a key player within our global Automation team and will help us transform our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning vision into a reality.

As a key member of the Automation team, you will be bringing AI and ML capabilities to the next generation IFS Cloud for Enterprise Resource Planning, Asset Management and Field Service Management. You will be working on applied mission critical problems ranging from predictive maintenance, demand planning/forecasting, optimization and autonomous intelligent assistants. Your expertise as data scientist will help us design and automate complex ML pipelines, enhance our algorithmic pool and drive innovation across our product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Envision, design and implement reliable ML pipelines that translate raw data into powerful predictive models to solve mission critical problems.
  • Help identify high value/high impact AI/ML opportunities within the IFS product offerings.
  • Work in close collaboration with Data Engineers, Data Scientist and Software Engineers on the definition, creation and deployment of bespoke and industry-wide ML models.
  • Work closely with software architects on the implementation of core ML Services to bring AI-fueled automation into our products.
  • Act as AI/ML technical expert to evaluate/recommend the adoption of new/emerging technologies.
  • Create automated tools to facilitate adoption of data science solutions across product areas.
  • Lead technical solution discussions and integration tasks for data science projects.
  • Present data exploration findings and model outputs in a domain/business context and provide actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

Skills and experience:

  • Proven knowledge of the Data Science lifecycle backed by a history of successfully completed projects.
  • Proven track record of building and deploying predictive models in a production setting.
  • Model evaluation, versioning, serving and monitoring (MLOps).
  • Proven knowledge of advanced statistical modelling and analysis.
  • Expert knowledge of Python, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch or similar development tools/libraries.
  • The ability to couple subject matter expertise with strong statistical skills.
  • Result-driven individual, passionate and self-starter, proactive requiring minimal supervision, highly organized, have an ability to handle multiple tasks, creative and strategic thinker.

Any of the following skills will be considered an asset:

  • Experience with automation of the Data Science life cycle: automatic feature selection, auto modelling, auto tuning, etc.
  • Intelligent assistants and recommender systems. Knowledge graphs (Labeled Property graphs/RDF) and/or semantic networks.
  • Graph database technologies.
  • Content detection and analysis (NLP, text mining, intent, sentiment, etc.), MS Cognitive Services, Apache Tika, etc.

Nice to have:

  • Evolutionarily computing, genetic algorithms (GA), Simulated Annealing (SA).
  • Reinforcement learning.
  • Cloud technologies and Big Data ecosystem tools (Spark, Databricks, etc.)
