Applies data analysis and management techniques in support of analysis of combined and joint warfighting operations performed with campaign and mission level modeling tools.
Works collaboratively with an integrated team of military operations research analysts to analyze the effectiveness of US and coalition forces in theater operations under a variety of DOD planning scenarios. Applies advanced analytical, mathematical, or statistical techniques related to statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric analysis, computer modeling, simulation, decision theory, mathematical programming, and regression analysis. Implements analytical models and methods that support warfighting analyses from the engagement through campaign-levels. Supports campaign analysts in the development, execution, and processing of mission and campaign-level representations, databases, and analyses of US, allied and adversary forces executing warfighting concepts of operation. Such support may consist of generating special displays, charts, graphics, data pulls, comparisons, and other analyses. Additionally, the applicant shall perform archiving of study data and retrieve data from previous studies included in the archives.
MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR FURTHER CONSIDERATION FOR THIS POSITION: 1) US Citizenship; 2) possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; 3) 3 years of experience in the analyses of management or operational problems, with the ability to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions; 4) hold a Master's degree from an accredited university in data science, data analytics, operations research, statistics, physics, engineering or an applied sciences discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in one of these disciplines with 5 years of experience; 5) experience with developing R scripts for pre-processing, post-processing, data analytics and data visualization.
WELL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES: experience performing campaign modeling and analysis using models such as STORM, JICM, or EADSIM; 5 or more years of experience in the analyses of management or operational problems, with the ability to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions; prior military experience at the theater or joint task force level conducting planning or performing operational assessments.
