You analyze large amounts of data to identify trends and generate high-level insights.
You will add value to requests from business leaders and build reporting logic that will produce analytical measures to tell the story of what is happening in the business. This requires a strong understanding of business processes and data flows.
The role requires a product mindset to be able to come up with the product areas which will need change/get impacted. This knowledge will form a base for product managers in various areas to go deep and build successful products and foster growth.
You will optimize event tracking - what should be tracked and how it should be structured (Segment experience is a plus). This requires working closely with the development team.
Problem solving skills: We expect the candidate to have the ability to identify big problems, break them down into simple/small problems, generate ideas and choose the best solutions.
SQL skills: Confident and hands-on with SQL to discover where data resides and dig deep into data to generate insights using complex joins and CTEs.
Product analytics tools: Experience with modern product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or other similar platforms). More than tools we expect the candidate to understand user journeys and have a good eye to find insights.
BI tools: Familiar with usage of BI tools (Microsoft Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau or other similar platforms). Fundamentally, we need the candidate to have the ability to build/read/interpret data in structured manner.
Data warehouse skills: Knowledge of data warehouse (Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake or other similar platforms) and how data warehouses are built. You may need to work with data engineers in getting specific data into the data warehouse for your analysis.
