Your opportunity:

As a Business Rule Analyst you report into the Head of Automation & Analytics within Operations and will be responsible for designing, analysing and continuously optimising Transaction Monitoring business rules.

The Business Rule Analyst is capable of translating any identified integrity risks into business rules, from designing to implementation into the monitoring system. The Business Rule Analyst takes ownership of the communication with the Compliance and the Transaction Monitoring departments to understand the needs and requirements of the business. As Business rule Analyst you will be key to driving the performance and effectiveness of each business rule through continuous, periodic and event driven backtesting analysis.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a framework for introducing new and analysing existing business rules.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Operations, Compliance and Risk to (i) align on strategies for Transaction Monitoring and (ii) assist on execution/ implementation.
  • Translate integrity risks into controls by defining and integrating new business rules based on all identified risk indicators.
  • Manage the successful launch of new business rules through performance monitoring and engaging with the Transaction Monitoring Team.
  • Drive high performance and optimisation of business rules through continuous, periodic and event driven backtesting analysis ; identify and own opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and provide regular updates on business rule performance & trends to management.
  • Responsible for creating, owning and maintaining documentation and procedures for backtesting process.
  • Work closely with our 3rd party Transaction Monitoring platform. Aligning on priorities for new business rules and adjusting existing ones.
