About the job:

Are you excited about data warehousing and do you want to work with the newest technologies – then this is the job for you. At Saxo Bank we are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our Enterprise Data Warehousing team. We are currently working on a new data warehouse to make our analytical capabilities scale with our increasing data sizes. The entire solution is cloud based and the data warehouse is built in Snowflake.
You will be part of the data warehousing team which consist of 14 people across four locations. The team is part of the Finance and Legal department, however the data warehouse supply data to a number of different departments across the business. Consequently will get to work with data consumers and source systems owners from across the business.
Your main responsibility as a data engineer is to help develop the new data warehouse. This involves anything from creating new data flows and performance optimization to automatic testing, DevOps and infrastructure management. All of this you will do in close collaboration with the other team members.
Your Profile:
Our tech stack is listed below. Ideally you should have experience with these or similar tools:
  • Snowflake
  • Airflow
  • Azure
  • Terraform
  • ADLS
  • Data vault modeling
  • SQL, Python, HCL
In addition, you will also get to work with the following technologies in some form. Experience with these are a bonus:
  • Kafka/Confluent
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Parquet/Avro/Protobuf/JSON
  • C#
Furthermore, we expect you to:
  • Be proactive
  • Take initiative
  • Learn quickly
  • Be a team player
  • Be able to handle changing circumstances
  • Have 3+ years of experience with data warehousing
