roles and responsibilities

The Data Scientist (R Shiny developer) for TDS (Therapeutics Development & Supply) will contribute to development of Data Analytics, Visualization, Reporting & Statistical Analysis utilising mainly R-Shiny.

Specifically, the Data Scientist will create R Shiny report outputs, visualizations, dashboards, and data pipelines that integrate many types of data to create comprehensive visualizations and report-ready outputs. This will involve:

• Develop and maintain R Shiny applications for data visualization, reporting, and dashboard creation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver comprehensive visualizations and reports.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets, transforming them into actionable insights.
• Integrate and manage data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow from multiple sources.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of advanced data analytics techniques to support strategic decision-making.
• Work independently on projects, managing priorities and deadlines to meet the needs of various stakeholders.

how to succeed

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or Data Science.
• R Shiny developer skills as a core competency.
• 2+ years’ experience working developing data analytics applications using R/Python
• Prior experience in Statistics or Data Science.
• Programming knowledge in a scripting language in R or Python is required for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with testing procedures such as PQ/OQ, source data verification, UATs and unit testing is desirable.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Can work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Additional technical competencies in Jira, Bitbucket, and other information technology systems are highly desirable.
