Job Description:
This role is responsible for providing the institutional research needs of the Division. This position will provide BioMed data reporting, maintenance and analysis to serve the Division’s Information and reporting needs. Responsible for collecting, validating, editing, analyzing and disseminating data and information about BioMed data including drafting reports for internal and external constituents and accrediting agencies. Provide dashboard statistics used by Deans, Chairs, Provost’s Office, Institutional Reporting and the Dean of Faculty. Participate in Workday Faculty data reporting and other subcommittees as assigned. Work with fellow data managers across the University to better coordinate data collection and external reporting demands. Work to automate frequently needed reports. The incumbent will be responsible to support all BioMed data needs including, faculty, course instruction, etc.
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of closely related experience in an institution of higher education of equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Higher education experience preferred.

Job Competencies
  • Highly developed quantitative skills in data analysis. Statistical training desirable.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and databases. Familiarity with database design practices, desktop reporting tools (e.g. COGNOS, FileMaker Pro, Access, Tableau) and demonstrated ability to use structured query language (SQL) required.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data management and information systems problems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, time management and problem‐solving skills.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team.
  • Ability to write clearly and communicate effectively; strong data presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to work independently to manage projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, judgment and discretion.
  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive community.
