Enterprise Data Office is looking for Senior Data Analyst with an excellent track record in performing strong data analysis for identifying data issues and carrying the remediation efforts across various data assets of the bank.

This Analyst will be part of Banks Enterprise Data Quality team supporting data Issues, identification and remediation.

The Data Quality (DQ) team is committed to deliver premier support across the Bank, spearheading proactive DQ issue prevention, monitoring and remediation. We are required to support all these three functions of the team along with any kind of data analysis work that is asked.

Primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Support Enterprise DQ Mailbox service requests. The requests come in from all kinds of data users across bank looking for DQ remediation in a expedited manner for performing their day-to-day activities.
  • Handle multifaceted DQ issues remediation requests within timeframes that are acceptable, prioritizing them on a daily basis and making sure all queries from multiple business communities in the bank (consumer, commercial) across various data issues/process issues encountered in Production real time are resolved with utmost accuracy and with quick response times adhering to the customer’s critical needs.
  • Determine root cause of data anomalies raised by end users and internal users, create remediation plans, articulate technical aspects of quantitative data issues to appropriately prioritize them, recommend solutions, develop and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with Data management policy in the bank.
  • Develop a productive partnership and broad network across the bank to be able to successfully resolve issues in a short time as most of the request are critical for banks day-to-day business operations, Regulatory and non-regulatory reporting.
  • Support build of Data Quality checks for DQ monitoring interactive dashboard, which intern supports data health management reporting and custom attestation views for customers.
  • Innovate by leveraging agile techniques to achieve efficiency, improve processes and continuously boost productivity.

Data is the key and is more important than ever as Citizens Bank is moving fast to implement next generation technology (i.e. Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Robotics, etc.). All of these initiatives are data-driven and can only be successful with good data.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • 6-8 years writing complex queries(SQL) across various data sources including AWS Redshift, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Big Data Hadoop, Teradata, Snowflakes, etc
  • 5 years in data analysis or associated field
  • Demonstrated communication skills – both written and verbal
  • 3 years of business experience in Wholesale and / or Retail banking, with proven track record of success.
  • Experienced/knowledge in ETL/ELT tools such as Ataccama, Talend, Datastage, Informatica, and Sqoop.
  • Experienced/knowledge in Scripting language (shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Java , Spark, Scala)
  • Experience with AWS cloud native services such as S3, RDS, Glu, Athena, etc.
  • Experience with BigData Technology/AWS/Agile Certifications

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

Hours per week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
