Your role

Are you an analytic thinker? Do you create valuable insights with data? Do you want to play key role in transforming our firm into a data driven organization?

We are looking for Big Data Engineer to:

  • engineer reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, transforming, enriching and storing data in different ways, using data platform infrastructure effectively
  • work with ETL tools to ingest and transform data sets from a variety of data sources
  • be an advocate within our team to “do the right thing”
  • maintain an understanding of industry trends and how new technologies can be leveraged to meet business objectives
  • engage actively in Agile planning including story refinement, demos and retrospectives
  • continually look for ways to improve your own skills and experience

Your team

You’ll be part of STAAT Data Science team under STAAT - Smart Technologies and Advance Analytics Teams group in Weehawken, NJ. We are developing cutting edge digital solutions to help internal and external clients make better decisions with data. Within STAAT, you will be part of a growing team that is focused on blending solutions covering digital marketing, technology, optimization and analytics to drive business results and digital transformation. You'll be working in a global team, with colleagues in Poland, the United Kingdom, the United States and India.

Your expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
  • strong competence in Python
  • strong competence in SQL and database design with a solid understanding of data architectures (e.g. Databases, data lakes)
  • good knowledge of the Linux environment
  • knowledge of Git version control
  • experience working with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies
