Job Summary
Point32Health is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join their Provider Reimbursement Analytics team in the role of Senior Data Analyst.

Under the direction of the Manager of Provider Analytics, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing advanced analytic solutions that deliver insight on provider financial performance. This role will serve as a key resource to generate and analyze data, package results, and present impacts to internal and external stakeholders. This individual will be involved in the development of reimbursement tools, tracking of provider financial performance, and related regulatory compliance. The Senior Data Analyst is a strategic business consultant who can deliver meaningful and actionable results, identify areas of opportunity and success, and inform strategic decision making.
Job Description
  • Produce analytics to support creation of robust provider reimbursement models (eg outpatient, physician, and ancillary provider fee schedules) across various lines of business (Commercial, Medicare/SCO, Public Plans/QHP)
  • Develop and participate in the creation of provider contracting budget tools and other measures of provider financial performance.
  • Generate provider network analytics to support regulatory submissions (eg Massachusetts CHIA’s relative price and total medical expense metrics)
  • Development of queries, reports, Excel tables and other tools to address ad hoc and routine business needs
  • Function in the role of analytics steward, providing support to other analysts within and outside of the Corporate Data and Analytics department; collaborate on delivery of accurate and timely insights
  • Meets assigned timelines and escalates risks/barriers as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Finance, Analytics, or related field with 5-7 years of experience; Master’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a managed care or provider setting and working with health insurance claims data is recommended; knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (OPPS, RBRVS, CPT, DRG, value based contracting) is required
  • Advanced proficiency in programming tools (eg SAS, SQL, SPSS) and understanding of relational databases and large data structures
  • Experience developing data visualization and analytic tools with Tableau or similar software
  • Demonstrated success in gathering and interpreting varied types of data within a larger business context
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills to work with a diversity of individuals from numerous departments and different levels within the organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; approachable, problem-solving personality
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize tasks; essential functions need to be performed on a consistent and regular basis, using good judgment
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
