Medical Imaging Data Scientist / Software Engineer (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

  • development and optimisation of versatile image processing algorithms
  • integration of algorithms into clinical practice (www.nora-imaging.org)
  • web-development of a server-client infrastructure
  • set-up and management of databases
  • co-support and maintenance of a SLURM cluster
  • training and validation of deep-learning algorithms

What we expect:

  • Master or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics or similar fields
  • relevant experience at least in one of the following fields
    • image/signal processing and/or neuro-imaging
    • computer vision, machine learning, pattern recognition
    • web development (frontend and backend)
  • experience in Linux environments using bash
  • basic or excellent skills in MATLAB, Python or R
  • basic or excellent skills in one of the following programming languages / frameworks: PHP, javascript, jquery, nodejs, MYSQL, mongodb, tensorflow
  • familiarity with at least some of the following image processing frameworks:
    SPM, FSL, ANTS, openCV, or similar
  • ability and enthusiasm to independently solve problems and learn new skills
  • ability to communicate directly with all stakeholders and know how to moderate discussions to prioritize topics and to extract relevant
