Job description
As a Leader in our Data Engineering Team, you will lead the design of controls to mitigate the risk of revenue and cost leakage, working collaboratively with Revenue and Margin Assurance (RMA) Managers and business stakeholders to design, analyse, and continuously improve the margin control impact we can have.
Leading a team of Controls Developers and Analysts, your role will be involved in shaping the technical direction of our controls environment by influencing the design and architecture of the build, as well as building the next generation of these controls and enhancing the existing ones. You will also be instrumental in supporting their implementation, ensuring consistency of approach, strategy, commitments and goals.
The key responsibilities for this role are:
- Design, build and implement key components across large data volumes in SQL. Our data warehouse is in Azure, so your work will be cloud focused using Azure Data Factory
- Ensure that all aspects of projects are planned and all aspects of the delivery are documented in accordance with company standards
- Understand Talk Talk architecture and data flows, and offer suggestions for further improvement
- Develop and apply a detailed understanding of the industry and external data sources
- Interpret requirements and offer innovation in the design of controls, ensuring solutions are effective
- Support development of data modules that interact with other internal applications
- Provide reporting that highlights control failures and trend performance
- Support departmental implementation and go live decisions
- Lead the relationship with the Revenue & Margin Assurance business partnering teams
- Manage and mentor Controls Development team members
If you have experience in leading data warehouse management teams, have database coverage with SQL and have a good understanding of margin and revenue analysis - we’d love to hear from you.
