WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

As Data Engineer your role is to provide technical capabilities and skills regarding the tasks as follow:

• Experience with using of Apache Airflow is key

• Experience of delivering Data Pipelines on Hortonworks / Cloudera installations

• Experience in Python and Spark

• Experience in bringing a new technology into an organization, including an understanding of how to set standards

• Detailed understanding in best practices for use of source control

• Linux skills

Experience in domains below are valuable:

• Deliver a set of Data Engineering standards for the Bank to start utilising Apache Airflow

• Find the best way to migrate existing code base to Apache Airflow

• Work as part of a small team to migrate existing code base, working to a tight schedule

• Provide input into the estimation and planning process.

• Take part in all stages of the test cycle, in partnership with colleagues from Digital Assurance and Productivity.

• Managing and rectifying software issues.

• Sharing technical knowledge with the rest of the team.

• Producing/maintaining relevant documentation.

• Actively participate in project work (sprints etc).

• Protect production environments.
