Branch's Marketing Team

Branch’s Marketing team is dedicated to ensuring that engaging information that aligns with our brand is getting in front of the right audiences. The team is comprised of four major parts:

  • Demand Generation, which is responsible for opening new channels to generate leads
  • Communications, which plans narratives to drive earned media, write content, and pitch media
  • Conversion, which identifies opportunities for improved efficiency, develops experiments, and tracks progress
  • Creative, which writes and designs high-impact creative for stakeholders across the business.


These elements are working together to efficiently grow Branch’s business and brand in a way that supports our mission to restore insurance as a force for communal good.


About the Data Analyst - Marketing role

The Data Analyst will be joining Branch’s Marketing team to oversee and

improve our data management process and reporting. This position will act as a liaison working hand in hand with our Data Office to maintain existing data products and expand capabilities.


The Data Analyst will primarily focus on gaining a deeper understanding of our operational needs and clearly articulating how data products will be able to solve problems allowing us to make informed decisions. This role will be instrumental in overseeing and troubleshooting our advanced analytics capabilities, data QA, and actively participating in the development process of new data products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics/KPIs, and delivering actionable insights
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets
  • Support data and reporting needs for marketing team members
  • Evaluate data for design and accuracy
  • Define and document reporting views so data can be better understood and used by internal stakeholders
  • Support and build ad hoc reporting
  • Create daily, weekly, and month-end closing reporting


Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • 3+ years of experience and proficiency in analyzing large volumes of data, extracting insights, and processing large data sets
  • Expertise in building and automating reporting
  • A deep understanding of data structures and relational database processes
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Major in a Business, Engineering, or Math discipline with a focus on Analytics, or a Data Analytics major preferred
  • Experience designing and developing visualizations in QLik, Looker, or similar data visualization software
  • A basis in SQL is highly desirable
  • A team player mentality
  • Ability to multi-task and constantly leverage remote collaboration tools
  • Attention to detail
  • A natural ability to work independently and take initiative to solve emerging problems
  • A passion for technology and a willingness to learn to master new tools and software platforms
