Job Description

Sage is currently recruiting for a Data Scientist to join our Central Marketing Operations team. This is an exciting new role with the opportunity to heavily influence modelling approaches and techniques. We’re looking for someone to develop and maintain statistical models to support and drive Sage’s business objectives, as well as using their analytical expertise to uncover valuable customer insights.

Working predominantly within Marketing, but also across teams such as Sales, Product, Service and IT, you will be accountable for high profile modelling projects starting from conceptional idea through to the operationalisation within Marketing & Sales. You’ll be presenting and managing stakeholders at different levels, conveying complex analysis in a fast-paced, practical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop statistical learning models for customer data analysis & practical application within Sales & Marketing functions

  • Apply other mathematical methodologies to enable more targeted data segmentation enabling better Marketing funnel performance

  • Operationalise statistical models to ensure appropriate levels of performance metrics are met and models are adopted and maintained within each country

  • Communicate and deliver complex analysis effectively to tell a story from business problem to recommendation

  • Work proactively with customers, to challenge their understanding of the business problem relating this back to the analytics process
