Corporate Data Analyst

Summary:

This Data Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of corporate and project-focused data collection and analysis. The person in this role will serve as a trusted advisor to Company leadership on how to measure and improve Company operations and decision-making, and as such, must have a high level of proficiency to:


Essential Functions:

  • Quickly and fully understand priorities and challenges at both the corporate and program levels
  • Formulate proposals for management on how data (data that is currently collected and/or new data sets) might be relevant to those priorities and challenges
  • Work with corporate management, HR, program management, IT and other departments to implement relevant data collection protocols and systems
  • Leverage experience, expertise, technology systems and other relevant methods to analyze the data and turn it into clear, actionable information for the company
  • Measure the changes and improvements resulting from these data-driven action plans
  • Coordinate the proper execution of all contract compliance activities to include, examining performance and contractual deliverables/requirements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to bid specifications and contract terms
  • Participate in project meetings, work closely with program managers, finance, and the executive team to identify and track contract requirements, and review project financial data
  • Gather and compile raw data; conduct research for industry trends and benchmarks; and normalizes data
  • Develop control structures within a simple environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels
  • Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis
  • Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business process owners and IT
  • Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries, and provide reports

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and systematic/methodical approach to projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and clearly & concisely communicate effectively at all levels across various aspects of the company in a professional way
  • Ability to recognize when programs are not working as planned, make course corrections, and communicate with leadership about what went wrong and how to fix it
  • Strong understanding of database/system concepts and/or design
  • Ability to complete complex data and trend analysis
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Commit to meeting deadlines with flexibility and willingness to work outside of normal business hours if required

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience building, developing, and maintaining customer relationships
  • Strong data analysis background
  • Financial services industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience in contract compliance and/or operational auditing role preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing and able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record check and a criminal background check
