THE GIG
With a keen interest in report delivery and the analysis of data, you will work closely with local and regional stakeholders to identify and understand requirements and opportunities to expand the capabilities of the Dr. Martens analytics solution for the APAC region.
This incumbent will serve as the primary bridge between our large datasets and business, testing, analyzing and building data models to provide strategic insights to the business as well as comprehensive solution.
THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART
Play a key role in the development of business data, which includes building the data warehouse, making the analysis and realizing the data requirement from different aspects
Gather and extract data from multiple sources, integrate disparate data into a common data model, and integrate data into a target database, application, or file using efficient ETL processes
Interpreting information requirements from business users and translating these into technical specifications and development plans– using data analytics solutions over the standardised data models, and by raising requests for new data warehouse/model development to the central team as required
Create documentation and user guides to understand metrics and KPIs created as part of data sources and help business users adopt and use these data sources in reporting platforms including self-service reporting framework
Help drive business adoption of reporting tools through initiatives such as improving the performance of the reporting tool and leveraging their full capabilities
Responsible for the accuracy of the data presented to business users through the execution of validation processes and testing procedures
Be the regional expert and owner for presentation layer tool, developing new reports and dashboards as required to support business needs
As the local evangelist for analytics, drive the adoption and use of analytics and help foster a regional analytics super user community to increase the level of skill across business departments
Collaborate with the experts across the relevant IT teams to understand data flows and the root cause of data issues to reduce the frequency of inconsistent data
Support with the creation, implementation, and verification of new data sets, including Google analytics and customer data
Work with retail, e-commerce, marketing, IT and digital teams to detect data opportunities to tackle operational pain-points
Proactively identify gaps and turn them into implementable solutions
YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES
Degree in Computer Science/ Statistics/ Information Systems/ Mathematics or a related discipline
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, experience of working in retailer or Loyalty Programs will be a bonus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs Expert in statistical tool like R, Python, SQL; ability to build sophisticated tables & queries from scratch
Hands on experience of working with dashboard, business intelligence tools and visualisation solutions such as Power BI, Tableau and Qlikview
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Familiar with CRM and digital analytics tools (e.g. google analytics) would be an advantage
Strong commercial and practical experience with data visualization, dashboard, and report development
Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
High energy, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment with a customer focused attitude
Excellent command in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
